I meant to write this like half an hour ago but I have ADHD'd my way out of that. I kinda feel like I've maybe reached a breaking point with SoC. I think I may just be forcing myself to play it at this point? It's not bad but the game just hasn't really properly pulled me in. Idk. With FGO and Arknights (the second time at least, I played it a little closer to when the game first launched but didn't really give the game a fair shot) the writing quality for their launch content was much worse but the games still somehow just sucked me in. Arknights especially I was just instantly enamored with. This I just kinda wasn't. The gameplay in SoC is fine but you can really, really feel the reused stage layouts. Plus I keep having a dumb problem where all my units get grouped up in a chokepoint and now suddently no one can do anything, and I can't tell if that's just stage design or me being stupid. And like the writing is good but it just doesn't really like, engage me? Everything about the game is good but none of it feels like something I want to actively like, participate in, which is weird.
