God I'm tired right now.
Work was kinda a mess, wasn't bad but I don't really wanna talk about it. I need to get in contact with the drug screening company to get a prescription for my ADHD meds to them. The problem is that I don't know what exactly they want; I'm assuming they want a script, but I don't have one right now, which means I need to call my psych in order to get one. There isn't a hard time limit on it but it needs to happen like, soon, so I need to do it tomorrow. I should have done it today but.
I bought Balatro because it looked like fun, and it is. It's a poker roguelike where the goal is to make poker hands. I've only played a few games, but so far there seems to be pretty well designed from a randomness perspective; there's enough consistency that you can at least try to build towards something, but enough variance that not every game is the same, but also things are good enough in a vacuum that it's rare that you're truly screwed over if you have a build that just doesn't work out. There are some joker cards that are just way too annoying to play around (one that punishes discarding, one that rewards not playing your most common hand), but they're at least just upside (I think), so it's not too bad.
