More of a standard work day today, bunch of reports to review and a few to write with no complications coming up. I really did intend to make that call, but I felt woozy after work and I just wanted to take it easy. And tomorrow I have the Fab Ult game. Hell.

I got two wins today in Balatro. The first was with a Smeared Joker (hearts/diamonds and spades/clubs count as the same suit) and a bunch of hearts/diamonds cards. The second win had a lot less deck manipulation and was instead just stacking a bunch of multiplicative buffs with each other. I got a very early soul card that gave me a yorick (x5 multiplier after 23 total discards), and from there it just snowballed. I didn't go into endless because I didn't think it would snowball enough, but I could probably go up to like 10 ante with that deck?

Edit: Turns out going to the main menu after finishing a run in Balatro saves your progress, so I was actually able to keep going, and it turns out I was right. Ante 11 is basically a kill screen, the base point count goes from 110,000 at ante 9, to 560,000 at ante 10, to 7,200,000 at ante 11. Any build that doesn't break the game literally just dies at ante 11. Which is something.
