eepy
Wasn't really anything I wanted to do after work today so I felt pretty aimless. For some reason I eventually decided to try to get Ghost of Tsushima to work on Linux. I couldn't after just trying twice and gave up. So I just went back to DQ1 HD. I think the few weeks I've spent away from the game have kinda made me sour on it a bit more. Fights are really likely to kill you if you don't go into them with near-full health, because it turns out fighting multiple enemies solo is kind of rough. It doesn't help that a lot of enemies just randomly know Dazzle (which basically makes melee useless unless you use a curative item, but the action economy on that is really bad because there's only one of you!) and Snooze/Sweet Breath (which puts you to sleep, and I don't think I need to explain why that's bad). I'm almost done with the game at least but I'm definitely now going through it just to be done with it. I do still wanna try out the original, in part because I'm pretty sure it's basically a completely different game. Like fundamentally you go through (some of) the same plot and while you don't have as many options the ones you do have are obviously still tailor-made for the game. But in the original (and every non-HD remake of it), all fights are 1v1, which means the turn economy is always even (I assume no enemies have multiple actions per turn in OG DQ1).
