I didn't wind up going out today. My mom wanted me to do some things for her, so I was expecting to be a lot busier than I actually was (and I really don't like having to rush myself before going out), but in the end it wound up with it just being me having to move a bag for her. Oh well. I'm definitely going to go out this weekend, it's prerelease, and even if I don't really care that much about the LotR set it should still be a bit of fun.
I also haven't done a ton today overall. I did manage to read a bit, I started Shadow of the Torturer by Gene Wolfe. I'm not sure what I think of it so far, I'm only like 3 chapters in but I feel like nothing has happened in spite of the fast pace. I'm also not sure of the writing style. I understand that it's "supposed to be" something like an in-universe journal or confession or something of the sort, but the actual style used I think would lend itself more to description than how Wolfe actually writes. Idk if that analysis is even right, all I know is that it's honestly really hard for me to retain info somehow, when that usually isn't a huge problem as long as I'm paying attention. It just kinda hurts my brain a little, I guess. I'm also not sure how I feel on first person narration in general, but that's not really an issue I have with the book.
As soon as I remember how to do tables in HTML I think I may post what I have of my conlang. I don't wanna look at the old code I wrote for one of my classes (bad memories) so I'll just look at the reference docs.
