I think today counts as a success. I finally filed my damn taxes, getting a decently sized return from them which is nice. I didn't really succeed with the conlanging though. I've forgotten a lot of stuff, and while it's not hard to brush back up on it again, I think I'm also overthinking the roots a bit. Though part of the problem with that is also not really fully understanding what the stems are even doing; there's obviously some consistency but it's not 100% predictable what the stems in semitic languages actually do. Though the real "problem" is that root + stem = verb most of the time, but with the way my lang is set up they also have to make nouns too. Though thinking more about it, each of the forms in Arabic do also have a noun variant (stems change for voice and person), so I guess that's not a big deal either. Idk I need to stop overthinking things for once. I can clean shit up into regular forms once I actually have shit to clean up.
