I have resumed my map painting ventures in CK3, sort of. The heir to my PC is an intrigue character, and not really a great one at that, which kinda sucks balls because I don't really need intrigue right now. I'd much rather have a bunch of learning like my previous character so I can get the stupid techs and just become feudal already. I'm still a century from the 1066 start and I feel behind. I also had a really frustrating experience regarding a northman army and a faction where the northman army kept invading while I was in a war with someone else, forcing a reload, and also the faction I just couldn't deal with. The faction eventually popped while I was trying to deal with the northman army (which took forever to trigger while I was at peace), so I just let the two dinguses go independant because I was absolutely not in any position to fight back. After a bit I decided to just kill one of them with a murder scheme (specifically the king, who had been a fucking pain in the fucking ass for a fucking while), then re-vassalized the realm a bit later. Then I got forced into a war that they were fighting, then I got invaded by Poland for some of their de jure territory, but my army was not at all in a position to fight back at that point so I just surrendered the land (the other war I got a white peace, meaning no decisive change one way or the other). For the other guy, he had a duchy that wasn't part of my de jure territory, but his main title was a duchy that was, so I couldn't kick him out of the faction to just end the threat of it. But eventually he died or got overthrown or something, and the two duchies got split between two different people, so I was able to peacefully vassalize the one who intereted my de jure territory.
So yeah. Map painting. I'm probably at the limit of where I can expand for now. Especially with this character. Idk I need to go to bed I'm tired.
